Through these programs, we hope to help others gain respect for all life as well as make them aware of who we are & what we do.
Bats of Colorado - The program focuses mainly on bats found in Pueblo County and attempts to dispel the many myths associated with the world's only true flying mammal.
Importance of Wildlife - Geared toward PreK-1st grade. We will distinguish between wild & domestic animals, introduce the terms habitat & food chain with interactive games & touch displays using animal artifacts. 30-45 minutes.
Human Impact on Wildlife - Grades 2 - adult. Covering contributions of wildlife, how humans affect wildlife & their habitats including possible solutions & personal empowerment with the use of interactive age-appropriate activities & a short slide show of some of our wild patients. 1+ hour.
Urban Wildlife -Can be indoor or outdoor. We explore wildlife of cities & suburbs with Native American stories, interactive age-appropriate games, and an adopt an animal take-home project. 1-2 hours depending on age and location.
Who We Are, What We Do & Why We Do It - Includes short slide show of some of our patients. 30 minutes.
Earth Matters - An environmental awareness program that can be presented either as a day-long activity where the participants move through several different stations or as a series presented in five different 1-hour segments once a week. This program could be presented either in an indoor or outdoor setting.
We are also available to set up a booth or table for community events at no cost. (Sept-March)
All programs can be geared to any age level unless otherwise specified.
